The scams recently reported by thousands of Chilean people, show that an important part of the population in our country does not understand some of the fundamental concepts of Finance. This lack of financial education makes families to implement high cost strategies to finance their needs and projects, with excessive risks. Concerning this situation, there are recent studies that show how families can significantly increase their savings through better investment strategies. Thus, a serious process of financial education could have an important effect on the wealth and well-being of families.
