We’ve Launched a New Financial Education Course for the General Public

Created by the Millennium Institute MIPP and the Central Bank of Chile, “Aprende Central” is a training program designed for anyone interested in learning about economics and personal finance. The course uses simple language and is tailored to be accessible to everyone.

The Millennium Institute MIPP, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Chile, developed this new financial education course for the public called “Aprende Central”. It is an online, free, and asynchronous program that allows participants to learn at their own pace within the given timeframe. The course will open in October of this year and will last for four weeks.

The program is divided into four modules, covering topics such as:

• Microeconomics: supply and demand, market equilibrium, types of markets, etc.
• Macroeconomics: GDP, inflation and CPI, the labor market, etc.
• The Financial System: money, financial markets, insurance markets, etc., and the roles and functions of the Central Bank.
• Personal Finance: financial decisions, employment, financial planning, saving, financial investments, debt and credit, insurance, digital products and services, and more (covered across two modules).

At the end of each module, participants will take an evaluation to assess their newly acquired knowledge and unlock the next module. These evaluations are mandatory to complete the course and obtain a general completion certificate.
