In order to present their lines of research and explore joint collaborations, the researchers of the MIPP Millennium Institute met together for the 4th MIPP Internal Workshop.
The works discussed at this workshop, included, among others, the papers: “Vertical Integration between Hospitals and Insurers”, “Gender Discrimination in the Consumer Credit Market”, “Opinion Polarization under Search for Peers”, presented by MIPP researchers and academics at the Industrial Engineering department, U. of Chile, Carlos Noton, Raimundo Undurraga, and Rahmi İlkılıç, respectively.
In addition, Damian Clarke, academic at the University of Santiago and MIPP researcher, presented his paper “Contraceptive Reforms and Women’s Health – The Role of Public Policy and Political Economy”; while Felipe Balmaceda, MIPP researcher and UDP academic, presented “An Inquiry on Quality: Competition between Private and Public Providers “.
