On March 21, Carlos Noton participated in the Conference of the International Bar Association, “Mergers and Acquisitions in Latin America: challenges and best practices in the era of compliance”, the largest meeting of the legal profession in Latin America, which was held on March 20-22, 2019, at the W Hotel in Chile.
Noton was invited to participate in the “Antitrust – the new frontier of merger control? How to advise M & A clients facing antitrust enforcers’ renewed interest for theories of harm to innovation ” session, where he presented and exchanged ideas about the probability that executors of the antitrust law follow this trend in Latin America. Within this topic, the panellists also discussed on how to advise and prepare clients who are innovative leaders in their field, when considering mergers and acquisitions agreements.
