The free course, created by the Millennium Institute MIPP and the Central Bank, is designed for secondary school teachers and students of pedagogy in the subjects of Social Sciences, History and Geography, Mathematics and Language.
This initiative is part of the National Financial Education Strategy, launched in January 2018, and takes into account the new curriculum content incorporated by the Ministry of Education in the subject of History, Geography and Social Sciences.
Classes for teachers enrolled in the program are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 6.
The ceremony also included the participation of the Executive Director of the Millennium Science Initiative, Ministry of Economy, Carolina Torrealba, the Director of the Center for Advanced Research in Education, Alejandra Mizala, and the Millennium Institute MIPP researcher, Patricio Valenzuela.
The objective of this initiative, which is part of the programs of integration with the environment, run by both institutions (Central en tu Vida from the Central Bank of Chile and Proyección al Medio Externo from the Millennium Institute, MIPP), is to foster interest, as well as economic and financial learning among teachers, students and the general public.
