Financial Education: Millennium Institute MIPP launches the campaign “Sácale Brillo a tu bolsillo : How much do you know about personal finances?” for the passengers of the Valparaíso Metro

14 May, 2018

This initiative seeks to spread awareness on economic and financial issues to the passengers using public transport in Valparaíso.

The difference between consumer, commercial, and mortgage credit, or between a debit and credit card, are some of the concepts that the public using the Valparaíso metro will be able to learn through the Financial Education campaign “Sácale Brillo a tu bolsillo” of the Institute for Research in Market Imperfections and Public Policy (MIPP).

The campaign has a webinar:  www.sacalebrilloatubolsillo.cl where the navigators can take a test on their knowledge on personal finance.

Formally, economics is the social science that studies the mechanisms that satisfy unlimited needs with scarce resources. For its part, finance is the branch of the economy that studies our financing and investment decisions. The importance of a better economic and financial education is that it allows us to better manage our resources and, as a result, improve our quality of life.

This is why the Millennium Institute MIPP organizes activities and seminars, in order to disseminate our research and deliver relevant information for decision making to the public and private sectors and agencies, as well as to inform a wider audience.
