Millennium Institute for Market Imperfections and Public Policies and its researcher Mr. Ronald Fisher are working together with Subsecretaría de Pesca y Acuicultura on the modifications to the heavily questioned Ley de Pesca y Acuicultura that dates back from 2013. Moreover, these modifications will be sent to the Congress on October. On his first interview as undersecretary, Pablo Berazaluce refers to the subjects that matter to this ministry, among which modifying such law is a crucial matter. The undersecretary adds that they are working on changing the law for small and industrial sectors and seek to include other aspects which were not previously considered, such as small-scale fishing.
