UNDP and MIPP will Present an Open Lecture on Political Representation of Indigenous People

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) together with Millennium Institute for Market Imperfections and Public Policy (MIPP) will present the open lecture ‘Representación política de los pueblos indígenas en Chile’ (Political Representation of Indigenous People in Chile), oriented to discuss topics about the political representation of indigenous people, based on the following works from UNDP and MIPP:

 

  • ‘Representación Indígena en Poderes Legislativos: claves desde la experiencia internacional’ (Indigenous Representation of Legislative Power: Keys from the International Experience). Marcela Ríos, UNDP.
  • Representación y participación indígena: el caso de los Mapuches en Chile’ (Indigenous Participation and Representation: the case of Mapuches in Chile). Alejandro Corvalán, Pedro Cayul (MIPP, UDP)

 

Both works will be presented in order to generate discussion and questions among the speakers and the attendees.
