Mini Course: Matching, Sorting, and Noise

Mini-course by Hector Chade (Arizona State University)

The purpose of this mini course is to introduce the basic matching models with transferable and with nontransferable utility used in economic applications that involve sorting of agents into partnerships (e.g., firms and workers, men and women, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, etc.), and a recent extension involving noise, which makes the model better suited for empirical work.
