Minicourse Culture and Economics

Millennium Institute for Market Imperfections and Public Policy, MIPP, and Applied Economics Center (CEA) from Industrial Engineering Department, Universidad de Chile, are pleased to invite you to Culture and Economics, talk given by Paola Giuliano, Associate Professor of Economics at UCLA Anderson School of Management. The course covers a growing body of work measuring cultural traits and how they matter for a variety of economic outcomes.

Giuliano is Research Associate at NBER, CEPR, and IZA, and has published in prestigious journals such as Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Literature, Economic Journal, Journal of the European Economic Association, International Economic Review, Brookings Papers on Economic Activity, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, and Journal of Development Economics, among others. Also, she serves as a co-editor of Journal of European Economic Association.

This minicourse will be held on August 1sst and 2nd, between 08:30 and 11:45 hr. (coffee break at 10:00hr.), at Sala de Consejo of the Industrial Engineering Department, Universidad de Chile, Beauchef 851 – 4th Floor.
